From vines were planted in 1899 made from 100% Grenache from a tiny parcel with sandy soil in La Crau. Miniscule yields.
"The truly stunning 2005 Chateauneuf du Pape Les Petits Pieds de l'Armand offers a classic concoction of flowers, blueberry, black raspberry, and cherries intermixed with some cedar and underbrush. Deep ruby/purple in color with full body, powerful tannins, and sweet mid-section and length, this is a terrific 2005 that will need 2-4 years of bottle age and keep for two decades."

"Inky ruby. Exotic oak notes and vanilla accent ripe cherry and red berry fruit aromas. Very sweet, ripe kirsch and strawberry preserve flavors are framed by firm tannins and joined on the back by spicy oak tones. This appears to have ample fruit to carry its substantial oak component."
