Wine Description
A seamless blend of grapes from the most distinct and coveted lots in our Estate portfolio, this complex, elegant wine is crafted to accentuate grace and harmony, as opposed to overt power, and offers a broad, lush mid-palate, silky tannins, focused fruit and a long, lingering finish. From its nuanced aromatics of black cherry, dark chocolate, orange peel, cedar and cinnamon to its rich and sophisticated flavors of raspberry truffles, cassis, blackberry, olive and herbs, this wine sets a new benchmark for Duckhorn Vineyards winemaking.
53% Cabernet Sauvignon, 28% Merlot, 14% Cabernet Franc, 5% Petite Verdot
Over three decades ago, before crafting their first vintage,
the Duckhorns and their winemaker had a passionate
discussion at the kitchen table. Though they debated
making a cuve, they chose to focus on varietal wines.
Even so, Duckhorn Vineyards has always remained
fascinated by the artful blend of varietals from diverse
Napa Valley vineyards. Embodying the depth and
complexity of a world-class Estate program, The Discussion
represents the pinnacle of the Duckhorn Vineyards portfolio
and the ongoing dialogue that defines great winemaking.
