Wine Description
Merryvale 2005 Napa Cabernet is a perfect synthesis of balance and intensity. Aromas of ripe
blackberry, crame de cassis, violets and star anise leap out of the glass. The wine unfolds on the palate with mouth filling dark fruits and minerality, and the finish goes on and on.
Those with the patience to cellar this wine will be rewarded; decanting is recommended in its
youth. Particularly nice pairings include a seared New York strip with a Cabernet reduction
sauce, and a Kobe beef burger with crumbled artisanal blue cheese.
