Black cherry, mocha and a touch of white chocolate all are evident on the palate with a savory bramble character lingering on the finish. Braised meat dishes are a perfect accompaniment to the layers of flavors in this wine. Try it with braised lamb with sage or mint sauce. A hearty winter dish like beef tenderloin with root vegetables and a red wine reduction sauce would also work nicely.
