Wine Description

64% Petite Syrah, 18% Zinfandel, 8% Barbera, 8% Malbec, 2% Carignane

Our inspiration for this wine was based upon the classic field blends of California from the late 1800's. Sourced from several dry farmed, old vine vineyards, "The Broken Road" is a blend of Petite Syrah, Zinfandel, Barbera, Malbec and Carignane. Dark purple hues with brooding aromas of pepper and black raspberry tea dominate the nose. Deep black fruits are well displayed on the palate in a medium bodied, supple style while the nicely structured acidity ensures a multitude of dimension you don't often find in wines of this price.

Customer Comments & Criticisms
This is the second time I have tried this wine. I like it, which is why I bought it again but, the one thing that turns me off is the sediment in the bottle. The first bottle I tried was a couple of months ago. At the end of the bottle I saw the sediment. I e-mailed the company and asked them about this. I was told that it was not a problem because it was only "sediment". Well my next question is, Why doesn't all bottles of wine have sediment? Why only "Ten Mile"? The answer I got was ridiculous and I'm sure no one wants to spend $13.49 for this wine only to be embarassed when serving it to a lady. I know it's not a whole lot of money for wine, but hey, all wines that cost the same don't have that sediment either.I am truly disappointed by this and I am sorry to say that I will never buy from this company again.
