Wine Description
For two years, I studied all the Pinot Noir growing regions of the world and Benton-Lane is here because I determined that this area has the best climate to make killer Pinot. When Pinot Noir is grown in a cool climate like the Eugene/Corvallis area, it has two great qualities, a sexy, spicy character, and incredible fresh cherry flavors. This wine is packed with both. The 2007 vintage was not long and drawn out, so the wine has fresh and fruity cherry tones instead of riper blackberry it's just plain yummy.
This ruby red wine is a must for fresh Pacific Northwest salmon, either grilled or sauced. It has the depth to accompany lightly sauced veal, or pasta dishes as well as smoked or grilled chicken.
