Wine Description
Darker than the 904, and also a deeper brick-red, indicating its longer aging. The nose is full of finesse and delicacy, with spicy notes, leather, vanilla and hints of fine old wood. Very well-rounded in the mouth, complex and alive, with a long and persistent finish.
"The 1994 Gran Reserva 890, from an excellent vintage, exhibits a dark ruby/brick color. Its complex perfume is composed of nuances of scorched earth, cedar, mineral, red currants and cherry. On the palate, additional notes of toast, fungi, and floral scents emerge. This elegant wine has sufficient depth, concentration and weight to drink well for another 6-8 years."
